Dobwalls and Trewidland Neighbourhood Plan
Our Future is in Our Hands!
The Dobwalls and Trewidland Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is an
opportunity for everyone in the parish to take part in developing a
vision for the future of the Parish and set objectives, strategy and
policies. The Neighbourhood Plan is specific to the Dobwalls and
Trewidland Parish.
By developing a neighbourhood plan we can work together to decide what our priorities are and tackle challenges so that the needs of the community are met without harming our options for the future.
Where we are!
Newsletter updateSadly, due to COVID 19 restrictions a public consultation could not be carried out with any public events. To overcome this, each household within the Dobwalls and Trewidland parish recieved a newsletter from the 8th January 2021. This newletter provided a summary of the Regulation 14 stage (Pre-Submission Consultation) Dobwalls and Trewidland Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) and a short questionnaire. There were two options available to complete the questionnaire, via the postal system or an online survey by the closing date of 22nd February 2021.
The Steering Group was very pleased to have 113 paper version returned and 43 online surveys completed. The information from the 156 responses is being analysed to allow amendments to be made to the draft plan. The Steering Group would like to thank the households who took the time to complete the questionnaire.
The next stage is for the updated draft plan to be formally submitted to Conwall Council under Regulation 15 in the near future. The Regulation 15 Plan will be made available on this website when it is ready but a copy of the Regulation 14 NDP is available here:
Like to get involved?
The Neighbourhood Plan is made by local
people, so everyone can get involved in different ways such as
supporting and taking part in exhibitions and surveys, spreading the
word and commenting on the draft plan. To find out more, have a look at
